What is Habit 5?
Habit 5 is 'Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood'. Like Habit 4, this habit asks students to look beyond themselves in a given situation. More often than not, conflict can be avoided when we work to understand another's point of view.

Practice As a FamilyShare as a family how you show others you are listening (our class identifies how we listen with our hands, eyes, feet etc.). Practice showing your family members how you listen as you talk.

Make GoalsPractice listening with your heart! Make a plan with your child to do something nice for a peer (not their best friend).
